Mass Schedule & Ministries

We celebrate Mass in Bahasa Indonesia twice a month, hosted by two parishes in Queens. Everything else grows around those two Sundays: the choir, Sunday School, the prayer group, and our pastoral care.

When We Gather

Mass times

2nd Sunday of the Month

2:00 PM

Resurrection Ascension Church

Confession is available before Mass, so ask an usher when you arrive. Street parking is available nearby, and the M and R trains stop at 63rd Drive station in Rego Park.

4th Sunday of the Month

3:00 PM

St. Bartholomew Church

Confession is available before Mass, so ask an usher when you arrive. The 7 train to 82nd Street station at Jackson Heights and the M and R to Elmhurst Avenue are both nearby.

Christmas, Easter, and other holy day Masses are announced in the monthly newsletter and on the Events page at least two weeks ahead.

Anointing of the Sick

For those who are seriously ill or preparing for surgery. In an emergency, contact us directly rather than waiting for a reply to the form.

A priest is available for Confession about half an hour before each Mass. No appointment is needed, so simply arrive early and ask an usher where to go.

Baptisms are arranged through the priest and usually celebrated during or just after a Sunday Mass. Please contact us a few weeks ahead so we can prepare with you and the godparents.

The Diocese of Brooklyn asks for at least six months’ notice before a wedding, to allow time for preparation. Get in touch as early as you can and we will guide you through the steps.

We accompany families in bereavement and can arrange a memorial Mass in Bahasa Indonesia. Please reach out and someone will respond as quickly as possible.

Our Sunday School prepares children for First Communion alongside regular faith formation. Families are welcome to join at any point in the year.

Get Involved

Ministries & groups

Everything at KKI is run by members, for members. Whatever you can offer, whether a voice, an afternoon or a prayer, there is a place for it here.

Choir

Leading worship through song at every Mass and celebration. We sing in Bahasa Indonesia, and you do not need to read music, only to turn up and enjoy it. Rehearsal is before Mass.

Sunday School

Faith formation and Bible stories for our children, taught by parents and volunteers. It also prepares children for First Communion. Families can join at any point in the year.

Prayer Group

Gathering in prayer, rosary, and reflection throughout the month, in homes and together online. A gentle way to stay connected between Masses.

Lend a Hand

Other ways to help

Hospitality

Setting up the hall, welcoming visitors at the door, and sharing the cooking for our lunches and feast days.

Liturgy

Serving as lector, altar server, or usher at Mass. Training is given, and children and teenagers are welcome to serve.

Media & newsletter

Taking photos, writing short pieces for the monthly newsletter, and helping keep this website up to date.
